Cinema enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating Mohanlal's much-awaited film Empuraan, which will be distributed in Tamil Nadu by Sree Gokulam Movies, owned by Sree Gokulam Gopalan. The film is set for a grand release across Tamil Nadu through Sree Gokulam Movies' extensive distribution network. Empuraan is making history as the first Malayalam film to be released in IMAX. It is jointly produced by Lyca Productions, Aashirvad Cinemas, and Sree Gokulam Movies, with Subaskaran, Antony Perumbavoor, and Gokulam Gopalan as producers.
The film’s trailer is set to be released with a launch event scheduled in Mumbai. The trailer will be unveiled online at 1:08 Am. The teaser was previously released on January 26. The film is set for a global release on March 27.
Written by Murali Gopy, this mass entertainer will premiere worldwide on March 27 at 6 AM IST. Beyond Tamil Nadu, Empuraan is getting a massive Pan-Indian release. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the film will be distributed by Sri Venkateswara Creations, owned by Dil Raju. In North India, AA Films, led by Anil Thadani, is handling the release, while Hombale Films, a leading Kannada production and distribution company, is overseeing the Karnataka release.
Empuraan is the second installment in a trilogy following the blockbuster Lucifer (2019). Mohanlal plays the lead role, alongside an ensemble cast that includes Prithviraj, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Jerome Flynn, Baiju, Saikumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Abhimanyu Singh, Saniya Iyappan, Fazil, Sachin Khedekar, Naila Usha, Jiju John, Nandu, Murukan Martin, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Manikuttan, Aneesh G Menon, Shivada, Alex O'Neill, Eric Ebony, Karthikeya Dev, Mihail Novikov, Kishore, Sukant, Behzad Khan, Nikhat Khan, Satyajit Sharma, Nayan Bhatt, Shubhangi, and Jais Jose.
The film will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. Internationally, bookings have already started in the Gulf, Europe, America, and Australia, achieving record pre-sales.
